Darcia C. Tudor JD, LMHP, CWM is a seasoned attorney, mediator, and forensic evaluator with a rich and diverse background. Her upbringing in a military family exposed her to various cultures and countries, providing her with a unique perspective. Darcia's journey in the legal field began when she crossed paths with her future husband, Gary A. Tudor, while working at the King County Juvenile Court. Their professional and personal lives intertwined as they married in 1977 and embarked on a joint legal career by entering law school together in 1978.

Darcia's dedication to her studies led her to graduate from the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1981, where she was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award. Her career then took a significant turn when she accepted an associate position at Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell, and O’Hern, making her one of the few African American women working at prominent law firms in Washington at the time. In 1984, alongside her husband, Gary A. Tudor, she co-founded Tudor & Tudor, PS, their law firm. Here, Darcia fervently advocated for individuals and small businesses, handling cases ranging from discrimination and real estate disputes to personal injury claims. Notably, she and her colleague, Gerry Bopp, achieved a groundbreaking settlement in one of the earliest minor head injury cases in the United States. Darcia also made a significant impact by winning her sister's discrimination case against Roffe Sportswear.

In the late 1980s, Darcia broke new ground as the first African American to host a local television program, "Know Your Rights," and frequently appeared as a guest on "Celebrate the Differences," a KING 5 local diversity program hosted by Lori Matsukawa. In 1991, her alma mater acknowledged her legal acumen and commitment to community service, designating her as a Distinguished Resident Alumni.

The 1990s witnessed a nationwide spotlight on domestic violence, and Darcia became a tireless advocate for free legal assistance to victims and funding for research on the impact of family violence on children. In 1998, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Eastside Legal Assistance Program, serving as its inaugural director. This program, which continues to thrive today, has provided invaluable legal representation and advocacy for countless domestic violence victims.
