Monica Ishak, Esq. is a first-generation American and South Florida native, based in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is licensed to practice in both Florida and federal courts and serves as the founding partner and CEO of The Ishak Law Firm, P.A.

Monica’s legal journey began while still in law school, where she gained trial experience as a certified legal intern at the Public Defender’s Office in Miami. After graduating in 2019, she started her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County, trying numerous misdemeanor cases. When the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted jury trials, Monica shifted her focus to pre-trial motions, filing numerous Motions to Suppress and Stand Your Ground motions, leading to the dismissal of nearly 30 cases within a few months. During this time, she earned an award for having the most jury trial experience in misdemeanor court.

As trials resumed, Monica transitioned to handling felony and serious cases, delivering favorable outcomes for her clients. Following her time in public defense, she joined the prominent law firm Kubicki Draper, where she represented insurance companies in first-party property and personal injury cases and successfully tried her first civil jury trial.

However, her passion for criminal defense brought her back to private practice, where she continued representing clients on a range of charges, including successfully handling a first-degree murder jury trial. Monica later expanded her expertise in civil litigation, serving as in-house trial counsel for a homeowner's insurance company, where she played an integral role on the trial team.

With diverse experience spanning public defense, private practice, and civil litigation, Monica remains committed to delivering exceptional legal representation.
